This multimodal neuroimaging dataset investigates the neural mechanisms of metacognition—the ability to assess decision confidence—by isolating postdecisional from decisional contributions. Healthy volunteers performed perceptual judgments and observed decisions while reporting confidence, with concurrent electroencephalography and functional magnetic resonance imaging recordings. The study reveals dissociable neural correlates of confidence in prefrontal regions and proposes a computational model explaining how decision commitment enhances metacognitive performance.

This dataset contains EEG recordings from 34 participants collected to investigate the adaptive recruitment of cortex-wide recurrent processing during visual object recognition. Participants viewed a stimulus set of 242 images, comprising 'challenge' and 'control' images selected based on discrepancies between human behavioral performance and AlexNet classification, while performing a rapid serial visual presentation task with a paper-clip detection component. The dataset includes derivatives with time-resolved decoding accuracy matrices for object identity, supporting analyses of recurrent cortical dynamics in visual processing.

This dataset comprises EEG recordings from a three-person hyperscanning experiment using the prisoner's dilemma game, formatted according to BIDS standards. The dataset includes 11 triads (33 participants total) with simultaneous EEG recordings during decision-making, feedback, and rest periods. EEG data are provided in EEGLAB format (.set files) with behavioral annotations in events.tsv files, enabling investigation of neural correlates of social decision-making and inter-brain synchronization during interactive tasks. This is a BIDS-formatted version of the OpenNeuro dataset (10.18112/openneuro.ds007822.v1.0.0).
