This dataset comprises electroencephalography (EEG) recordings from 50 acute stroke patients (1-30 days post-stroke) performing motor imagery tasks of left- and right-handed hand-grip movements. Recorded using a wireless 29-channel EEG system at 500 Hz, the dataset includes raw and preprocessed data, representing the first open resource addressing left- and right-handed motor imagery in the acute stroke population. The dataset supports brain-computer interface (BCI) algorithm development and clinical rehabilitation applications.

This dataset comprises 382 electroencephalographic recordings from 19 participants performing a P300 visual oddball paradigm with systematically varied stimulus properties. Participants completed three experimental sessions, each containing seven recordings with different numbers of visual stimuli (4-9) and flash types (standard flash or cartoon face overlay). EEG data were acquired from eight scalp electrodes at 256 Hz sampling rate, with detailed event markers encoding experimental phases and stimulus presentations.
[. The study evaluates classification performance and user experience using 32-channel EEG recorded at 500 Hz. This derivative dataset is derived from the original Castillos et al. (2023) study and optimizes stimulus design for reactive BCI applications while maintaining visual comfort. CNN-based decoding achieved up to 95.6% accuracy (best-case scenario with 52.8 s of calibration data).
