The effects of sham hypnosis techniques
This dataset comprises EEG recordings from 52 participants (39 females) investigating the effects of sham hypnosis techniques using a 2×2 balanced placebo design. Participants underwent four experimental conditions involving conventional and unconventional hypnotic inductions presented as either hypnosis or relaxation control, with brain activity recorded using 64-channel EEG during baseline and experimental blocks. The study examines how expectancy and framing influence the neurophysiological response to hypnotic inductions.
