This dataset comprises high-density functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) measurements acquired during a Word-Color Stroop task. The study compares high-density multi-distance fNIRS configurations with sparse fNIRS arrangements to evaluate their relative sensitivity in detecting brain activity during cognitive control tasks.
