An EEG study investigating the effects of episodic future thinking on temporal discounting behavior. Participants generated descriptions of future events and subsequently used mental imagery of these events as cues during intertemporal choice tasks, with concurrent measurement of imagery vividness. This dataset provides neurophysiological recordings during decision-making processes influenced by prospective cognition.

This dataset contains scalp EEG recordings from 23 healthy young adults performing a Modified Sternberg Working Memory task, in which participants memorized subsets of letters while ignoring others, then responded to probe letters after a maintenance period. The study, conducted at the Swartz Center for Neural Computation (UCSD) in 2004-05, was designed to examine source-resolved EEG brain dynamics related to working memory encoding, maintenance, and retrieval. The dataset was curated and annotated using the Hierarchical Event Descriptors (HED) framework and shared via OpenNeuro and NEMAR in BIDS format.

This dataset comprises EEG recordings from 20 subjects performing a sustained attention task involving mental concentration on a target stimulus. Participants received automated verbal instructions guiding them through cycles of relaxation, preparation, and 15-second concentration periods, with the entire experiment conducted with eyes closed. The dataset includes 20 repetitions of the attention task per participant and is annotated using HED (Hierarchical Event Descriptors) version 8.0.0.
